Compassion Camp is a program where kids and families explore what it means to have compassion for others, ourselves, and the world. When we bring compassion into our relationships and into the world, we partner with God in bring God's love and justice into the world. Our theme for this summer will be: What Every Living Thing Needs, and our curriculum comes from the wonderful folks at Illustrated Ministries.

We are so excited to bring you this program, and we look forward to seeing you in June!

Did You Know?

Underneath our beautiful Stockton lawn is a large geothermal field which provides air conditioning for the sanctuary, as well as heating down to a fairly low outdoor temperature.  The system consists of 20 deep wells with 9 heat pumps which circulate fluid through the wells and the heat exchangers in the undercroft.  When it was installed in 2010, it was the first thermal heat pump system in a commercial or institutional building in Princeton.

Every year, this system provides us with carbon-free energy and saves thousands of dollars in utility expenses.   Our Grounds committee makes sure that no trees are planted over the geothermal field, which avoids any interference with its operation.  Otherwise, it’s easy to forget that it’s there under the lawn!

Calling for Graduate Submissions

On Sunday, June 4, we will recognize all of our congregation’s graduates.

If you want your graduating child or grandchild, whether high school or college seniors, graduate or post-graduate students, to be in the booklet, please email Adam Bond a picture, their full name, the high school or college from which they are graduating, their degree if applicable, and a short summary of future plans.

All information must be in by Sunday, May 28 to be included in the booklet.

and thanksgiving.

This is always a special day for our parish and a beautiful time in the garden. Please feel free to extend this invitation to anyone who you feel would like to attend.

Creator of all, we pray to you for all those whom we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Confirmations with Bishop Stokes this Sunday!

REMEMBER

The Right Reverend William H. Stokes will preside over the Order for Confirmation at Trinity Church this Sunday, April 23 at 2pm. Reception to follow in Pierce-Bishop Hall.

“In the course of their Christian development, those baptized at an early age are expected, when they are ready and have been duly prepared, to make a mature public affirmation of their faith and commitment to the responsibilities of their Baptism and to receive the laying on of hands by the bishop. Those baptized as adults, unless baptized with laying on of hands by a bishop, are also expected to make a public affirmation of their faith and commitment to the responsibilities of their Baptism in the presence of a bishop and to receive the laying on of hands.” — The Book of Common Prayer, p. 412
